Protection of the pristine Joe Ney Watershed
was of utmost importance during construction.
|
The Joe Ney containment dike has been
upgraded and provided with a new spillway and fish ladder to permit fish passage.
Water from the impoundment is pumped via a seven-million gallon per day pump station
equipped with fish screening. Flow is piped under Libby Lane to the Upper
Pony Creek impoundment through an 8,800-foot, 22-inch diameter pipeline.
